Only unmarried male citizens of Pakistan may Join Pakistan Marine Academy as Nautical (Deck) & Marine Engineering Cadets. Eligibility Criteria to Join PMA – Merchant Navy Jobs 2023:
- Unmarried Male Citizens of Pakistan
- Age: Not more than 20 Years (For AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, Balochistan & FATA, Not More Than 21 Years) as of 31 December 2023.
- Minimum Height: 5 Feet 4 Inches
Required Qualifications to Join Pak Marine Academy:
- The candidate must have passed FSc or O/A Level with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics having at least 55% marks.
- Candidates of O/A are required to submit equivalence certificates.
- FSc/A Level Part-II appearing candidates with at least 60% marks in Part-I can also apply. However, they have to provide a hope certificate from the head of the respective college.
- If a candidate fails to obtain 55% marks in FSc after providing a hope certificate, he will be disqualified at any stage of the selection procedure or discharged during training.

Selection Procedure for Merchant Navy:
- Entrance Test at Multan, Abbottabad, Gwadar, Karachi, Lahore, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi & Sukkur.
- 45% Marks are required to qualify for the entrance test.
- Medical Examination
- Final Selections
- Running: 1.6 KM in 8.30 Minutes
- Push-ups: 10 in 2 minutes
- Sit-ups: 10 in 2 Minutes
- Chin-ups: 2 in 2 Minutes
